Running a gymnastics club is a full-time job.
Most of the work isn't coaching!
I help gymnastics clubs get their website and their admin sorted - by someone who has actually done it.
Whether it’s a membership spreadsheet held together with hope, a website that hasn’t been touched since 2019, competition entries managed over email, or a parent communications system that consists mainly of a WhatsApp group nobody fully controls – I can help.
I’ve run a gymnastics club. I know what the admin looks like from the inside. And I know that the people doing it are usually coaches first – brilliant at what they do on the floor, but exhausted by everything that happens off it.
I’m Helen. I build WordPress websites and provide business operations support for gymnastics clubs – and a handful of other small businesses. But gymnastics is where I started, and it’s where I understand the detail.

Common gymnastics club admin problems
Most of the gymnastics club admins I speak to are dealing with some version of the following:
- Answering the same enquiry questions over and over because the website doesn't have the answers
- Managing trial bookings through a Facebook message thread
- A competition entry process that involves multiple spreadsheets and a lot of chasing
- A website that was built by a parent seven years ago and hasn't been touched since
- A booking system that technically works but nobody understands properly
- Parent communications split across email, WhatsApp, and a newsletter nobody reads
- The club secretary doing 15 hours of admin a week that nobody sees
- Losing potential members because the joining process is too confusing to follow
- None of this is a failure of the people doing it. It's a failure of systems - and systems can be fixed.
What a gymnastics club website looks like
Every build is custom to the club – but here’s what’s commonly required:
- WordPress build – you own it, fully
- Mobile-first responsive design
- Class timetable – clear, filterable by age/level
- Trial and enquiry form with auto-confirmation
- Competition and event pages
- Member resources section (password-protected if needed)
- Showcase club life and achievements
- About the club and coaching team
- Parent information hub – FAQs, kit, safeguarding contacts
- News and updates section
- Google Analytics setup
- Google Business Profile setup and optimisation
- SEO foundations – titles, meta, image alt text
- Speed and performance optimisation
- Ongoing hosting & maintenance from £30/month
Why gymnastics clubs choose JAM Digital Studio
There are plenty of web designers. There aren’t many who have actually sat in the club secretary’s chair at 11pm trying to figure out why the report doesn’t match the register.
I’ve been involved in running Catleaps Gymnastics Club – a community gymnastics club in East London serving hundreds of members across two venues, including specialist provision for children with additional needs. I’ve dealt with the booking systems, the parent communications, the competition admin, and the website questions. I know what the problems actually are because I’ve had them myself.
That means when you tell me your joining process is confusing, I know exactly what you mean. When you say competition entries are a nightmare, I’m not guessing at a solution. And when I build your website, I’m not making assumptions about what a gymnastics club needs – I already know.
Insider Gymnastics Knowledge
I’ve run a gymnastics club. The problems on this page aren’t things I researched – they’re things I’ve lived.
One person - full picture
Website, systems, admin – I can help with all of it and make sure everything works together rather than creating new problems.
Personal - not an agency
You’ll work with me directly. No handoffs, no account managers, no templates off a shelf.
In practice: Catleaps Gymnastics Club
Catleaps had a website that wasn’t answering the questions parents were asking – which meant Cat was fielding the same enquiries over and over again through Facebook and email, every week.
The new site changed that. Clear timetables, transparent pricing, a proper joining flow, and dedicated pages for the additional needs provision and the young leaders programme. The result was a significant drop in repetitive admin messages – because the answers were finally on the website.
In practice: Men's London Open
I also built and manage the website for the Men’s London Open, one of the UK’s most prestigious men’s artistic gymnastics competitions with over 100 years of history. The site serves multiple audiences simultaneously – competing gymnasts, coaches, judges, club secretaries managing entries, and spectators – each needing different information quickly.
Past competitors include Jake Jarman, Max Whitlock OBE and Joe Fraser.

Common questions about gymnastics club website design and admin support
We use [Class4Kids / Coacha / ClubRight / JustGo / Gym Club Solutions] – can you work with that?
Yes. I’m deliberately platform-agnostic – meaning I don’t push a specific system, I work with whatever makes sense for your club. If you’re already using a platform and want to integrate it with your website, I can look at the best way to do that. If you’re thinking of changing systems, I can help you think through the options – I’m familiar with the main platforms used by gymnastics clubs and can have an informed conversation about which might suit you.
We’re a small club with a limited budget – is this realistic for us?
Probably yes. Starter sites from £450 are designed for smaller clubs that need a clean, functional online presence without unnecessary complexity. The most important thing is that the site does the jobs it needs to do – answers parent questions, handles enquiries, and looks professional. That doesn’t have to be expensive. Get in touch and I’ll be straight with you about what’s achievable within your budget.
We don’t have much content ready – can you help with that?
Yes – this is very common. I can help you work out what the site needs, write or edit copy if needed, and advise on photography (even basic smartphone photos, well-lit and well-framed, are better than nothing). The briefing process I use at the start of every project is designed to extract the information I need from you without making it feel like homework.
What about British Gymnastics affiliation – does that affect anything?
Not as far as I’m concerned. I can build websites and help with admin for clubs regardless of their affiliation status. The website and the systems work the same way whether you’re affiliated with British Gymnastics, IGA, affiliated with another body, or operating independently.
Can you help with the admin side without us needing a new website?
Absolutely. The website and the ops support are two separate services – you don’t have to do both. If your website is fine but your admin is a mess, we can focus entirely on that. The discovery conversation will help us work out where the biggest wins are.
How long does a club website take to build?
Most club websites take three to six weeks from kick-off to launch. The main variable is how quickly I receive content from the club – once I have everything I need, I can usually turn it around quickly. I’ll give you a realistic timeline in the proposal.
